The Labour Party is holding a conference in Co Meath today.
Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore will lead a gathering of cabinet ministers, TDs and Senators for a party rally in advance of the local and European elections in May.
Just three months after the last Labour conference the party is in single digits in some opinion polls, with more councillors leaving, and with more battles with Fine Gael on issues like tax reform and pylons.
So although the local elections are still three months away, today's event in Enfield could be a valuable opportunity to rally the troops ahead of a tough campaign.
Members will discuss issues like keeping children safe online and the roll-out of primary care centres.
The day will end with a televised two-hour slot devoted to voter-friendly issues - like working for hard-pressed families, greener communities, better transport and more jobs, finishing with a live address from Eamon Gilmore.
