TDs are to vote this evening on a bill to allow abortion in cases of fatal foetal abnormality.

At least one Labour TDs is to vote against the government and support the bill - while up to four others may follow suit.

The Transport Minister has insisted that the government has not yet made a decision on IAG's bid to take over Aer Lingus.

Gardaí have confirmed there was foul play in the death of a man in north Cork at the weekend.

36-year-old Peter Murphy was found dead at his rented home in Shanavoher, just outside Mallow, on Saturday afternoon.

Gardaí say a post mortem has confirmed he died of injuries that were not self inflicted, but they will not reveal how he died.

The search is underway to find Ireland's best workplaces for gay, bisexual and transgender staff.

Companies employing a total of over half a million staff are involved in Ireland's first Workplace Equality Index.

It will also give a framework for employers to tackle issues like harassment and homophobic bullying.

People working with young children are marching on the Dáil next week.

They are demanding pay which is in line with their qualifications and high standards.

The march, which will take place between 1 and 3pm next Tuesday 17th, is organised by the Association of Childhood Professionals.
