Our Planet, Netflix
Netflix has become an increasingly dominant player in television, and that's given them the clout to get David Attenborough on board for one of their most extravagant documentaries yet. The 92-year-old broadcaster lends his unmistakable tones to the streaming giant's visually stunning nature series Our Planet.
The programme doesn't shy away from an urgent environmental message - even compared to the stark warnings in previous Attenborough shows, this really hammers home how fragile things our world has become.
12 Years a Slave, RTÉ 2 - Saturday 21:10
Steve McQueen's powerful, disturbing portrait of slavery in the US is not an easy watch, but it is a remarkable piece of filmmaking. Brilliantly crafted, it gains even more power thanks to a number of extraordinary performances - including from Chiewetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender and the film's breakout star Lupita Nyong'o.
Jason Bourne, RTÉ 1 - Sunday 21:30
There was a while when it seemed like the Bourne series was over and done with - 2012's Bourne Legacy, an effort to move the series on without star Matt Damon, received a muted reception. However, Damon and director Paul Greengrass decided to return to the series a few years later. While it doesn't reach the highs of series highlights Supremacy or Ultimatum, it's a sharp, solid action thriller that's well worth a look.

Bodyguard, Netflix
If you missed BBC's outrageously popular political thriller Bodyguard, now's a good time to catch up as it's recently been added to Netflix. The fast-moving drama requires disbelief to occasionally be suspended - but when it's good, this is just about as tense and nail-biting as television drama gets.
