The Education Minister has announced a €40,000 euro fund for anti-bullying training for parents.
Ruairi Quinn says the money will go towards up to 70 training sessions between now and the end of the year.
It's being run with the help of the National Parents Councils and will help parents whose primary or post-primary children are victims of bullying, and of children who have bullied others.
The announcement follows new anti-bullying guidelines unveiled last week, as well as the Department's Action Plan on Bullying.
The President of the National Parents Council Post-Primary, Don Myers, says the training is a valuable addition to those measures.
