Education Minister Ruairi Quinn says he cannot help second level teachers tackle the planned reforms to the Junior Cycle programme until they tell him what resources are required to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Second level teachers are today protesting outside school gates around the country to highlight their concerns over proposed changes to the Junior Cycle programme.

The Minister also paid tribute to Christine Buckley the co-founder of the Aislinn Centre and a well-known campaigner and survivor of institutional abuse whose death was announced earlier today.
