The father of the NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden says he's willing to meet his son at the FBI's request.

Lonnie Snowden says the FBI wants him to travel to Moscow Airport where his 30-year-old son has been holed up for over a month.

He says if Edward Snowden wants to spend the rest of his life in Russia, he would support his son as he would do the same.

Lonnie Snowden says he doesn't believe his son would get a fair trial in the United States, where he is wanted to face multiple charges of espionage for exposing secret US surveillance programmes.
