A 17-year-old who smashed an egg on an Australian politician's head has made a huge donation to the victims of the Christchurch terror attacks.
William Connolly was dubbed 'Egg Boy' after he cracked the egg over far-right Senator Fraser Anning during a press conference in March.
Senator Anning had faced widespread condemnation after he blamed the attacks on Muslim immigration.
The video quickly went viral and, after Mr Connolly was taken away by police, two crowd funding pages were set up to cover his legal fees and to "buy more eggs."
Earlier this month Victoria State Police confirmed that Mr Connolly would be issued with an “official caution” but would not be charged.
The 69-year-old senator, who responded by slapping the teenager, also escaped charge.
In an Instagram post, he said he was following through on his pledge to donate all the money to “help provide some relief to the victims of the massacre.”
He thanked the people who set up the crowdfunding pages and “every single person who donated to the money and made this possible. To the victims of the Tragedy, I whole heartedly hope that this can bring some relief to you.”
Mr Anning was formally censured by the Australian Senate for his comments.
He lost his seat in the Senate after elections earlier this month.
