An attack on the Nuseirat camp in Central Gaza on Friday has killed 33 people, including eight children.
The latest violence brings the number of children killed in the war-torn-region to just over 160 a month.
UNICEF Ireland's Executive Director Peter Power has said his organisation is very worried about hundreds of thousands of children over Christmas.
“Eight completely innocent children were killed in an airstrike in the Nuseirat camp in Gaza,” he said.
“As we approach Christmas, UNICEF is desperately concerned now about the fate of hundreds of thousands of children experiencing hunger in Gaza, with 50,000 of those facing severe acute malnutrition.
“So, we’re very, very worried now.”
An average of 4 children have died in the region each day since the beginning of November.
