Cigarettes worth €3.5m have been seized at Dublin Port.
Officers - assisted by Revenue's sniffer dog Casey - discovered almost eight million 'Manchester' brand cigarettes in a 45 foot container, which had arrived from Belgium.
They were hidden under a layer of black plastic and were described as "breakfast cereals".
Meanwhile - 33,000 'Winston' brand cigarettes - worth over €16,000 - were found in two separate operations at Dublin Airport over the past two days.
Officers discovered the cigarettes in the luggage of two Moldovan men who had arrived separately on flights from Moldova via Istanbul.
