Coláiste Phobal Roscrea has sent its best wishes to its Transition Year students hospitalised after their school bus was involved in a crash with a lorry.
Their two teachers and both drivers were also taken to hospital.
The crash took place on the N77 at Ardloo, County Kilkenny this morning and Gardaí were alerted at 10.20am.
The lorry driver has been treated for serious injuries and the 11 other individuals for non-life threatening injuries.
One teacher, one pupil and both drivers remain in hospital.
In a statement, the Tipperary school, Coláiste Phobal Roscrea, sent all involved in the crash their best wishes.
“NEPS, the psychological support service of the Department of Education, are supporting the school, and the school’s Critical Incident Team has been convened,” a spokesperson said.
“We will be working with staff and students affected to ensure they receive any necessary supports after experiencing this traumatic event.”
