Eircom crews will be working over the weekend to restore service which was lost during Storm Rachel.
Some fixed line and broadband users are without service, with 8,000 people said to be without service yesterday.

Meanwhile, a status yellow snow-ice warning is in place across the country this morning.
Wintry showers will continue throughout the warning period until later today.
The Road Safety Authority (RSA) is reminding drivers to slow down, manoeuvre gently and leave lots of space between you and the vehicle in front.
