A cyclist has been seriously injured in a road crash on the N17 between Knock Airport and Charlestown, County Mayo. 

The victim, who is in his 60s, was found by Gardaí at 12.20 this afternoon and was taken to hospital by ambulance. 

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will examine the scene of the crash and any witnesses have been asked to contact Swinford Garda Station.
