A man has died following a hit-and-run in Co Roscommon.
The pedestrian, a man aged in his 80s, was struck by a car in Keadue at around 11.00pm on Saturday night.
Gardaí have said the car involved failed to remain at the scene.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 20-year-old man, later presented himself at Carrick-on-Shannon Garda station.
A full forensic and technical examination of the scene is being carried out and diversions are in place.
