A man in his 80s has died after a crash near Clonmany in County Donegal. 

At 18.20 this evening, a van hit a pedestrian at Annagh on the R238. 

The pedestrian was later pronounced dead and arrangements are being made for a post-mortem exam. 

The road will remain closed overnight for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. 

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact Buncrana Garda Station.
