A 72-year-old Derry woman escaped unharmed after a petrol bomb was thrown at her home last night.
Roberta Wilson told the BBC of her panic when the petrol bombs were thrown at her bungalow in the Magherafelt area shortly after 10 o’clock last night.
"I heard a bang and I went out. All I saw was the flames up the back window. It was pitch black. I started panicking,” she said.
"I opened the door and the thing fell on the ground and went out."
Ms Wilson was in her living room when the attack took place. There was damage to the window and door of the bungalow.
The pensioner’s car ha been attacked several times, including an attack shortly before Christmas. She told the BBC she does not now why her property is being attacked but will not give in to the attacks and intends to remain in the area.
"I don't know why they are doing it on me. I just went blank. I don't know what to think," she said.
"It's a very good estate, I'm happy in it, well I was, but not now. Why should I move for them, let them put me out of my own home?"
Ms Wilson has asked whoever is responsible to, “leave me alone, let me live in peace".
DUP councillor in the area Elizabeth Forde said she is “devastated” by the incident.
"The woman, last night, when I went to see her was hysterical.
"We don't know why this has taken place but we have left it with the police to do a full investigation.
