Turnout is averaging 38.3% across the whole of Dublin in the local and European elections.

As of 8.30pm Artane-Whitehall is on 46% turnout, Ballyfermot-Drimnagh is at 37.8%, Ballymun-Finglas is on 27.45% and Cabra-Glasnevin is on 40%.

Clontarf is seeing 44% turnout and Donaghmede is on 45%.

The area of Kimmage-Rathmines is seeing 35.85% turnout.

The North Inner-City is on 38.72%, Pembroke is seeing 37.53%, the South East Inner-City is on 34% and South West Inner-City is at 35%.

Voter turnout in County Cork as of 8pm is at 43.4%.

In Westmeath, Mullingar town had a turnout of just over 27%, Kinnegad is also on 27%, as is Athlone.

In Clones, Co Monaghan 32% of registered voters have been to vote, while several centres in Mayo have recorded a turnout in the high-20s.

The latest from Ennis at 6pm is on 32%, and just shy of 27% of voters in Cork County had cast their vote this evening.

One polling centre in Co Tipperary, Kilsheelan, recorded  turnout of almost 50%.

Ballot boxes will be opened from 9am on Saturday.
