Gardaí have announced that Elizabeth Clarke’s disappearance is now being investigated as a potential murder.
The mother of two was reported missing by her family 10-years ago but has not been seen since 2013.
At the time of her disappearance, Ms Clarke was 24-years-old and was living in Navan, County Meath - having also lived in Portrane and Bettystown.
After she was reported missing, Gardaí carried out “extensive enquiries” in Meath and searched for evidence in fields, canals and rivers.
Today, the Meath Serious Crime Hub is searching a house in Navan for evidence, supported by staff from the Meath Divisional Search team and Garda National Technical Bureau.
Gardaí have said Ms Clarke’s family will be kept “fully updated” about today’s search and the wider investigation.
They have also asked for anyone with any information to contact Navan Garda Station.
