The nominations for this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards have been announced.

Rihanna leads the way with 6 including; best song, video, female and pop act categories.

Rita Ora and One Direction are among the artists who’ll fight it out for best new act.

One Direction are also set to go head to head with Bieber again for Biggest Fan, while Carly Rae Jepsen has picked up three nods for this year’s ceremony.

Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj and Lady GaGa have picked up 4 nominations each, along with Justin Bieber.

The ceremony takes place in Frankfurt in Germany in November.
