An independent TD has been told to take his financial advice from ‘Time Magazine’ rather than ‘Playboy’.
In the Dáil today Tipperary TD Mattie McGrath appeared to get mixed up on what magazine the Taoiseach appeared on the cover of last week.
The ‘Time’ issue is to be published on October 15th and features the headline ‘The Celtic Comeback’ with the Taoiseach pictured.
A sub-heading tells us he is ‘rebuilding his country’s economy’ while asking the question ‘What the rest of Europe can learn from him’.
The magazine said they picked Mr. Kenny for the cover “because Ireland, as the second country to ask for a bailout, is quite far along in the process of dealing with the ramifications of what went wrong” according to the Europe editor with the publication Catherine Mayer.
Deputy Mary Mitchell-O’Connor of Dun Laoghaire was in the Dáil chamber at the time Mr. McGrath was speaking.
She was quick to point out to him that his speech on the Fiscal Bill could have been better prepared.
