Power is expected to be restored to nearly all ESB customers this evening.
Network teams repaired another 500 faults today, getting an extra 10-thousand people back on the grid, after the St Stephen's Day storms.
In total 78,000 homes and businesses are now re-connected after gale force winds, reaching up to 150 km per hour, cut off supplies.

A final 800 customers will be left without power overnight though.
The effected areas will be 300 customers in Tralee, 200 in Ennis, 200 in Bandon/Dunmanway/Killarney and 100 homes and businesses in Newcastlewest.
