The European Union has approved the terms of Greece's new bailout deal.

The new four month loan extension was given the seal of approval by Eurogroup finance ministers during a conference call this afternoon.

The lifeline will now allow the new Greek government to engage in longer term negotiations of its bailout programme, which was due to come to an end this weekend.

Sky's business correspondent Ed Conway says not every EU member supported the rescue plan.
