A new campaign against counterfeit toys warns parents about health and safety risks to children.

The European Commission says fake toys can contain dangerous levels of heavy metals and other toxic substances.

The Commission urges Parents to read warnings which accompany toys and never to give toys with detatchable parts to children under three years old

Buyers should also look for the CE mark whcih means the item meets European Union Safety rules.
