The European Council has marked Micheál Martin's final appearance there as Taoiseach - with a farewell video.
He attended his last Council meeting on Thursday before a Cabinet re-shuffle on Saturday, which will see Leo Varadkar take back over as Taoiseach.
At the European Council in October, outgoing Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi was given a long round of applause and a video presentation titled ‘Arrivederci Mario’ as he bowed out of his last Council summit.
In Mr Martin's case, the video was a montage of his appearances at various summits - including media doorsteps - to a bed of music.
The end of the short video thanks him in Irish and English, wishing him 'Slán go fóill'.
Tweeting out the video, President of the European Council Charles Michel said: "We will miss your soft-spoken ways and your constructiveness at the EUCO table - always looking for a positive way forward and exploring compromise solutions. Thank you."

In reality, it will be far from his last trip to Brussels - though he will now be relegated to those other meetings which happen around a summit between political party leaders who are not their country's leaders.
