An Irish Lotto player has won tonight's Euromillions Jackpot.

The lucky player will share the pot of just under 188 million Euro with a Belgian player.

This is the biggest Irish lottery win in Euromillions since 2005, when Limerick clear Dolores McNamara bagged a cool 115 million Euro.

Tonight's winner comes close - split down the middle -  they come away with 94 million Euro - half of  the 188 million jackpot.

The winning numbers  in tonight's draw were 4, 5, 13, 27 and 35. The lucky star numbers were 1 and 2.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said they had no idea as to the identity of the lucky winner at this early stage. However, they are reminding the ticket holder that the prize must be claimed within 90 days.

It can be redeemed at the National Lottery headquarters on Dublin's  Abbey Street.
