The hangar once housed Zeppelins but was transformed 10 years ago into the Tropical Islands Resort by a Malaysian company.
The hangar is the largest free-standing hall in the world and is so tall it could fit the Statue of Liberty inside it.
The water park is located in Krausnick, near Berlin and has it's own beaches, lagoons and tropical rain-forest.

It also contains Germany's highest water slide tower which is 27-metres tall, a 21-metre stainless steel slide and a 112-metre Crazy River steel tube slide.
You can even reach top speeds of 70 kmph on their power turbo slide.

The resort also boasts all of these other features:
- A balmy 26 degrees centigrade
- Numerous bars, saunas, lagoons and grottos
- 522 beds in various rooms and lodges
- Hundreds of tents
- 400 sun loungers
- World's largest indoor beach
- Capacity to hold 6,000 visitors
- Europe's biggest tropical spa and sauna complex
- Bali Lagoon pool and Jungle Village
Reviews for the Tropical Island Resort on TripAdvisor were mixed, with some saying the place had lots to do and is lovely especially for children. While others said there were long queues and no sun beds.
With good and bad points noted, I think this water park definitely needs to be seen to be believed.
