COVID-19: Five further deaths in Ireland
There have been five further coronavirus deaths in Ireland.
Latest figures also show that 38 new cases have been confirmed.
It brings the overall death toll from the virus to 1,664, with a total of 25,142 cases.
Varadkar: US has seen 'absence of moral leadership' in recent days
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has called out an 'absence of moral leadership from where it should have came' in the US amid the ongoing protests and unrest in the country.
In a Dáil speech, Mr Varadkar also warned that many people in Ireland still experience 'overt and insidious' racism.
He told deputies the "world has watched in horror" following the recent killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Luke O'Neill on COVID-19: 'Female leaders are doing better'
A new study has found countries with female leaders have six-fold fewer deaths from COVID-19.
The research from Trinity College Dublin and the University of Pretoria found that in countries with women in positions of leadership, the average number of days with confirmed deaths was 34 versus 48 in countries ruled by men.
Female-led governments were also more effective and rapid at flattening the curve, with peaks in daily deaths roughly six times lower than in countries ruled by men.
Holohan: House parties are being organised with abandon
The Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan says he is concerned over house parties being organised "with abandon", as Ireland is set to move into the next phase of re-opening.
Ireland is on course to enter phase two on Monday, which would see people being able to travel up to 20 kilometres from their home.
While up to four people will be able visit another household for a short period, as long as they are at least two metres apart from people they do not live with.
Holy water pistols: US priest uses water guns for drive-by blessings
A Catholic priest in the US says it has been fun to watch his drive-by blessings get international attention.
As part of a traditional Easter gathering, he used water pistols to bless those in attendance.
