"The IRA is gone, gone, gone" - Sinn Féin TD David Cullinane rejects Drew Harris comments
Sinn Féin TD David Cullinane has rejected comments by Garda Commissioner Drew Harris, that the Provisional Army Council oversees the political party and the IRA.
Speaking at a passing out ceremony on Friday, Commissioner Harris said the force's assessment "does not differ" from the PSNI.
A PSNI-MI5 report from 2015 claimed both the IRA and Sinn Féin are overseen by a council with a political strategy.

EU heads of state had been meeting in Brussels to thrash out plans for a long-term budget from 2021 to 2027.
Member states had tried to agree on a common position on the next multi-annual financial framework (MFF).

Thousands of people have queued in Dublin city centre to audition for a role as an extra in an upcoming film.
They earlier queued around the block of Liberty Hall for a part in The Last Duel.
Directed by Ridley Scott, it stars Matt Damon and Ben Affleck and will be shot in parts of Dublin, Meath, Wicklow and Tipperary.
Michael Bloomberg has now spent €420m on his US presidential bid
The US billionaire and Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg has spent more than $460 million (€420 million) on his presidential campaign to date, according to new figures.
Mr Bloomberg entered the race in November, and since then his campaign has spent unprecedented amounts on advertisements.
Figures released by the US Federal Election Commission (FEC) show Mr Bloomberg's campaign has raised $464,145,124 to date - all from the billionaire's own fortune, meaning there is no limit on his spending.

Firefighters in the US state of California have been praised after rescuing a dog who got stuck.
The pooch managed to get his head wedged between two pillars in San Diego while out for a walk.
It happened in Balboa Park on Wednesday.
