Remains found in Dublin confirmed as those of Keane Mulready-Woods

Gardaí have confirmed that human remains found in Dublin are those of missing 17-year-old Keane Mulready-Woods.

The partial human remains were discovered in a sports bag at Moateview Drive in Coolock on Monday.

Keane was reported missing last Sunday January 12th.

Von der Leyen thanks Ireland for cooperation during the Brexit process

The European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has thanked Ireland for its part in the Brexit process.

She was speaking with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar on her first official visit to Ireland on Wednesday.

She met Mr Varadkar on the steps of Government Buildings in Dublin, before they held a joint press conference.

Trump impeachment through to US Senate trial after house vote 

US President Donald Trump faces a trial in the Senate, after the House of Representatives voted in favour of triggering the next stage of impeachment.

The house voted largely on party lines, with 228 Democrats voting in favour, and one Democrat joining 192 Republicans to vote against sending the charges on.

Although Mr Trump is expected to be acquitted of the charges of abuse of power and obstruction of US Congress, because the Republicans control the Senate, he will still be required to face a trial.

Homeless man in serious condition after attempt to remove tent he was sleeping in

A homeless man is in a serious condition in a Dublin hospital after he was injured in an attempt to remove the tent he was sleeping in.

It happened yesterday afternoon along the Grand Canal at Wilton Terrace near Leeson Street.

Gardaí say the man was sleeping in his tent during an attempt to tidy the canal walkway, and that he received injuries during the incident.

Irish flag carrier Aer Lingus has unveiled its new look uniform.

Irish designer Louise Kennedy created the new line - which offers female staff the option of wearing trousers for the first time.

The airline said the new uniforms are the culmination of a re-brand, which started in 2018.
