Eight-year-old girl killed in tractor accident on Mayo farm
An eight-year-old girl has been killed in a tractor accident in Mayo.
The child was fatally injured in the incident on a farm in the Lismolin area.
Gardaí said the accident happened at around 5pm this evening.

Renewed appeal for information on baby found at Wicklow recycling plant
Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information about the circumstances surrounding the death of a baby girl whose remains were found in a recycling plant in Wicklow.
The child, who was named Alannah by officers investigating the case, was discovered by a staff member at the Greenstar waste facility in Bray on May 4th.
Superintendent Pat Ward, who is in charge of the inquiry, today appealed on her mother to come forward.

Thousands of people turned out today to pay their respects to a French priest murdered by Islamic State.
Around 2,000 people attended a funeral service for Father Jacques Hamel at a packed Rouen cathedral.
The 85-year-old was killed on the alter of his church in Normandy last week.

Strike ahead? Dublin Bus drivers to be balloted on industrial action
Staff at Dublin Bus are to vote on industrial action in a row over pay and working conditions.
Workers at the state-owned company will be balloted after rejecting an 8.25% pay rise recommended by the Labour Court.
The two unions representing staff had sought increases of up to 31% to bring them in line with wage terms secured by Luas drivers earlier this year.
