RTÉ broadcaster Marian Finucane dies aged 69
Tributes have been paid to the RTÉ broadcaster Marian Finucane, who has died at the age of 69.
She died suddenly at home today, RTÉ said in a statement.
Taoiseach Leo Vardkar described Ms Finucane as a "true broadcasting legend who reshaped current affairs radio in Ireland", while President Michael D Higgins said Ireland had lost a "deeply respected, trusted and much loved broadcaster".

The Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been heckled by angry residents in one of the towns devastated by catastrophic wildfires in recent weeks.
More than 200 bushfires are burning across New South Wales and Victoria, with other states also battling blazes.
A week-long state of emergency has been declared in NSW due to the weather conditions and "unpredictable nature" of current firefronts.
Hillary Clinton named chancellor of Queen's University
Former US presidential candidate and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been announced as chancellor of Queen's University Belfast.
Mrs Clinton, who received an honorary doctorate from Queen's in October 2018, will become the university's first female chancellor.
