Trump impeachment inquiry hears from first witnesses
An inquiry looking at whether US President Donald Trump should be impeached has held its first public hearing.
He is accused of abusing power by withholding aid for Ukraine unless the country investigated his political rival Joe Biden.
Mr Trump denies this.
Tipperary man Richard Moloney jailed 12 years for raping his foster daughter
A 41-year-old man has been jailed for 12 years for raping and sexually assaulting his foster daughter when she was just 16.
Richard Moloney - of Tullaskeagh Drive, Roscrea in Co Tipperary - got her drunk and attacked her while his wife was away.
Ciara Monaghan waived her right to anonymity so Richard Moloney could be named.
Donohoe says far less money sent from Ireland to Nigeria than Grealish claimed
The Minister for Finance has said the amount of money being sent to Nigeria from Ireland may be far lower than Independent TD Noel Grealish claimed in the Dáil.
The Galway West TD yesterday said €3.54bn in personal transfers had been sent to Nigeria over the past eight years.
He questioned whether the money had been “fully accounted for within the Irish Revenue or tax system and is not the proceeds of crime or fraud.”

A so-called 'unicorn' dog, who has an extra tail on his face, has gone viral after being rescued from the streets in the US.
Narwhal the puppy was found with another older dog by a Missouri-based non-profit called 'Mac's Mission'.
Rescuers quickly noticed the extra tail on his face and sent him in for tests.
Backlash over re-branding of Dublin's Grafton Street as 'Grafton Quarter'
There has been backlash after a 'Nollaig Shona Duit' sign on Dublin's Grafton Street was not put up as part of the capital's Christmas decorations.
Business group Dublin Town has instead put up a sign over the famous shopping street which reads: 'Welcome to Grafton Quarter".
This is the same place where the 'Nollaig Shona Duit' as Gaeilge would usually be displayed.
