The 'Trump Baby' blimp flew in the skies over Dublin this evening as the US President returned to Ireland.
President Trump landed back in Shannon airport just after 5pm this evening after attending D-Day commemorations in Normandy this afternoon.
He is due to spend the night in County Clare before playing golf tomorrow.
There have been a number of protests against his visit since he first arrived yesterday afternoon - and around 2,000 people attended a protest in Dublin this evening.
Fresh call for full investigation of abortion case at National Maternity Hospital
A couple at the centre of a pregnancy termination case at the National Maternity Hospital wants an independent inquiry, after UK medical experts turned down a request to review what happened.
The couple says they were told their unborn baby would not survive.
It followed two test results indicating the unborn baby had Edwards Syndrome - a genetic disorder where the baby is often born small and with heart defects.
While the first two tests indicated the condition, results from a third showed there was no abnormality present.
Searches across several counties into alleged horse meat contamination
Gardaí investigating the suspected contamination of horse meat have searched several sites across five counties.
It relates to the export of horse meat suspected of being contaminated.
The Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation was assisted by officials from the Department of Agriculture and the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI).
They conducted planned searches at farms, houses and a commercial premises in Roscommon, Leitrim, Sligo, Westmeath and Kilkenny on Thursday morning.
Repairs to get underway on structural defects at dozens of schools
Corrective repairs will get underway this summer at dozens of schools built by Western Building Systems.
It’s after an audit of all schools built by the company on behalf of the state identified 22 with significant structural defects.
A number of Dublin schools were forced to close large sections of their premises after the defects were identified in October last year.
Precautionary measures were put in place at all 22 to ensure pupils could continue to attend classes – with scaffolding in place around a number of buildings for months.
Man arrested by police investigating murder of Lyra McKee in Derry
Police investigating the murder of journalist Lyra McKee in Derry have arrested a 46-year-old man.
Detectives made the arrest after carrying out searches in the Northland Road and Creggan areas of the city.
The man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act and has been taken to the Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
Ms McKee was shot dead during rioting in Creggan on April 18th.
