Independence day parades for Ukraine are taking place around Ireland and Europe.
It has been 31 years since the country gained independence from the Moscow-controlled Soviet Union.
Meanwhile, Wednesday also marks six months since the Russian invasion began.
Events to mark indepence have been banned in Ukraine itself, for fear of Russia targeting events of patriotism.

A Ukrainian flag was also unveiled at a ceremony in Brussels, as Ukraine makes strides towards European Union membership.
