Two viable explosive devices that were found in Kildare last night are being forensically examined today.
The alarm was raised in the area around the rail line in Athy at 3pm yesterday.
The devices were disabled by the Army Bomb Disposal Team and the area was declared safe at around 7.20pm.

Just 2 weeks ago an improvised explosive device (IED) was made safe in the same area of Athy by a controlled explosion.
The remains of the IEDs found are being forensically examined by the Garda Technical Unit.
