Extremely windy and stormy conditions have been forecast, with Munster, Galway and Wexford in line for the worst conditions.
Met Eireann has an orange weather alert in place, with gusts of up to 130 kilometres an hour forecast.
While there's a yellow wind alert for Dublin, Louth, Wicklow and Meath.

The Gardai and the Coast Guard are asking people to avoid coastal areas and cliffs.
