All of the advanced technology in the world can't help you if Mother Nature decides to get in the way.
The $143 million (€128 million) F-22 Raptor aircraft was grounded at the Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia when it's pilot discovered that it had been covered in approximately 20,000 bees.
Tech. Sgt. Jeffrey Baskin of the 192nd Maintenance Squadron crew chief stated in an Air Force press release (as per CNN): "I was shocked like everyone else because it looked like a cloud of thousands of bees."
Aware that the honey bee are at danger of extinction, the soldiers contacted local bee keepers, who removed the 20,000 bees from the aircraft's exhaust pipe and relocating the entire colony to a nearby beer production plant.
