The Football Association of Ireland has said its computer servers were hacked last weekend.
In a statement, the association said the servers, located at its Abbotstown complex, were targeted by an external source.
It moved to assure customers that their payment details remain secure as they are stored off-site.
It said ticket sales are also unaffected as they are “processed and paid for via a third party platform.”
The association’s email services were damaged by the attack but are now partially restored.
The Gardaí and the Data Protection Commission have been informed and Forensic computer scientists are currently on-site.
Efforts to restore email services to staff are currently ongoing.
