A referendum starts in the Falkland Islands today to decide if it wishes to remain British.

The answer is expected to be an overwhelming yes.

But Argentina has refused to acknowledge the outcome of the poll insisting it will negotiate only with the UK Government and not with those who it regards as "colonists".
