The family of an Irishman shot dead by Bolivian security forces will meet with United Nations officials in Geneva today.
Relatives of Michael Dwyer are expected to call for an inquiry into his death in 2009.
Mr. Dwyer was shot dead by police in Santa Cruz in Bolivia 3 years ago.
Officials claim he was killed in a hotel shoot-out along with 2 other men after a right-wing plot against President Evo Morales was uncovered.
But his family insist there is no evidence he had been involved in a shoot-out and they will today present 2 reports that indicate the Tipperary native was shot in the heart.
The Dwyer family have accused the Bolivian authorities of concocting a terrorism allegation and of stone-walling them at every turn.
Today they will meet UN officials in Geneva attached to Christof Heyns who is special rapporteur on ex-judicial killings to call for an inquiry into the death of the 24-year-old Ballinderry man.
