Members of a young Limerick family have been tied up and robbed at their home by an armed gang.

The attack took place at the family home in Grange near Bruff.

No serious injuries were reported, but the victims are said to be shocked by their ordeal.

A four-man armed and masked gang broke into the house last night, and threatened the family - including three young children - if they did not hand over money.

It is unclear how much the raiders made away with.

Superintendent Alan Cunningham of Bruff garda station made this appeal.
