Have the Rennies at the ready, as this English greasy spoon is dishing up a tray’s worth of indigestion – with a side order of legal disclaimer.

The Bear Grills Café, just south of Manchester, is challenging its customers to chow down on an 8000-calorie breakfast, laying down the gluttony gauntlet with the gut-busting ‘Hibernator’.

To take on the challenge, brave customers sign a waiver and fork over £19.95. They then have 30-minutes to clear their plate of eight eggs (four fried and a four-egg omelette), eight rashers, eight sausages, eight slices of bread (four toasted and four fried), four waffles, four hashbrowns, four pieces of black pudding, and then a liberal serving of fried mushrooms and tomoatoes, chips, and beans.

Oh, and wash it down with a 32-ounce strawberry shake. For hydration.

Successful challengers will win £100, plus the price of their breakfast – though so far it’s a record 22-0 to the ‘Hibernator.’

Speaking to the Metro, café-owner Mark Winder said: ‘Younger guys come in, and it is all men who have tried the challenge, and they look at the ingredients up on the board and say: ‘I am going to smash that.”

‘But then they see it come out on the big platter all heaped high and start to cry on the phone to their friends. They give up after about twenty minutes.”

You can watch somebody taking on the 'Hibernator' here:

Bon appétit...
