The global study looked at data from almost 320,000 13 and 14 year olds in 51 countries and 180,000 6 and 7 year olds.

Three or more weekly servings were linked to a 39% increased risk of severe asthma among teens and a 27% increased risk among children.

On the other hand, fruit seemed to be protective in both age groups for all three conditions.

It's not as far fetched as it seems afer Quentin Tarantino told two Kerry students they could re-dub the entire movie.

Tarantino made the offer after viewing a spoof clip in which Eoin O'Leary and David Williams, both students at Tralee IT, dubbed their voices over a scene involving John Travolta and Samuel L Jackson.

The clip was show to Tarantino during an appearance on the Graham Norton show on BBC on Friday night.
