An investigation is underway into a fatal accident in the grounds of the GSK plant in Co Waterford this afternoon.

It's understood the man who died was a member of the public.

He was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital, but lost his fight for life a short time later.

The Health and Safety Authority has been informed.
