Fierce fighting’s erupted in rebel-held districts of Aleppo again this morning, a day after opposition forces held-off an offensive by government troops in Syria’s second-largest city.

There are reports of explosions and aircraft sightings over rebel held areas of the city, which is Syria’s most populous.

At least 29 people have been killed, bringing the number of people killed so far this weekend to 140 nationwide

The head of the opposition Syrian National Council has called for foreign states to arm rebel fighters.
