A film which saw people hunted for sport has been shelved by Universal Pictures.
'The Hunt' starred Hilary Swank, Emma Roberts and Betty Gilpin.
Marketing for the film had already been put on hold following shootings in Texas and Ohio.
A total of 31 people died in the separate shootings last weekend.
The film was set to be released on September 27th.
It had been billed as a "satirical social thriller" in which 12 strangers wake up not knowing where they are, or how they got there.
In a statement, Universal Pictures says: "While Universal Pictures had already paused the marketing campaign for 'The Hunt', after thoughtful consideration, the studio has decided to cancel our plans to release the film.
"We stand by our filmmakers and will continue to distribute films in partnership with bold and visionary creators, like those associated with this satirical social thriller, but we understand that now is not the right time to release this film."
The official trailer and website for the picture have also been pulled.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the characters refer to their prey as "deplorables" - a term used by Hillary Clinton to describe some of Donald Trump's supporters in the run up to the 2016 US presidential election.
On Friday, US President Trump attacked "Liberal Hollywood" in a series of tweets.
Without naming the film, he claimed: "The movie coming out is made in order ....to inflame and cause chaos.
"They create their own violence, and then try to blame others."
Liberal Hollywood is Racist at the highest level, and with great Anger and Hate! They like to call themselves "Elite," but they are not Elite. In fact, it is often the people that they so strongly oppose that are actually the Elite. The movie coming out is made in order....

....to inflame and cause chaos. They create their own violence, and then try to blame others. They are the true Racists, and are very bad for our Country!
