Watching sex scenes in films can make children more sexually active from a younger age, new research suggests.
Page 5 of the Daily Telegraph reports that teenagers who watch sex scenes such as the Twillight series and even Titanic have an increased curiosity for sex.
Researchers at the University of Dartmouth in the UK argue the scenes can ‘fundamentally influence a teenager’s personality’ and make them more prone to take risks.
The study also says that young people who are exposed to more sexual content in movies start having sex at younger ages, have more sexual partners and are less likely to use condoms with casual partners.
