The national student grant awarding authority, SUSI, is issuing a final call to those who wish to apply for a grant for the current academic year.
Online applications for 2019/2020 close at midnight on Friday November 1st.
So far this academic year, SUSI has received almost 95,000 out of an expected 96,500 applications.
It has finalised over 89,000 of these.
While 73,000 have been awarded and 16,000 have been cancelled or refused.
Over 64,000 students have received their first payment.
SUSI is completing its eighth year of operations.
Last year, it processed approximately 99,000 applications with some 80,000 students receiving funding for the 2018-19 academic year.

"If you have started an application but have not yet completed it, please do so before the closing date.
"You will have received an e-mail from SUSI in recent weeks prompting you to complete your application."
"I urge students awaiting finalisation of their applications to submit any documents that have been requested by SUSI as soon as possible so that SUSI can complete the processing of their applications."
