An Independent TD says Dáil members should be given professional training to help them make better decisions about the country's finances.
Stephen Donnelly was speaking at a conference organised by the European Commission and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce examining the post-Troika future of Ireland.
He says the Dáil "utterly failed" to prevent our economic collapse and is one of the worst parliaments in the developed world at probing fiscal policy.
