Luo Gang was abducted on his way to school when he just five years old and trafficked to another province.

He recalled the only memories of his home, such as his village having two bridges and that he wore a red sweater with a swan embroidered on it the day of his kidnapping, every night in case they helped him in future.

A map he drew from memory of his town was posted online and drew the attention of an organisation who help track down lost children.

They linked his story with that of a couple in Sichuan province, over 2,000km from Fujian where Luo Gang had lived for two decades.

After checking out the couple’s village using Street View on Google Maps, he instantly recognised it as where he grew up.

His since been reunited with his family, who adopted a daughter after his disappearance.
