Fine Gael has scored its best result in almost a decade in the latest political opinion poll.
Today's Red C poll for the Business Post puts Tánaiste Leo Varadkar's party on 37%, up two on the last in the series.
Sinn Féin is holding steady on 27%, more its national vote share than when Ireland last voted in February.
The poll of 1,000 voters shows Fianna Fáil has gained one percentage point, with just 11% support.
Support for the Green Party is unchanged at 6%, as is Labour at 3%.
The Social Democrats are down one point to 3%, while Solidarity–People Before Profit and Aontú are both unchanged at 2%.
Independents and others lost two percentage points and stand at 8%.
The last Business Post/Red C poll was published on September 9th.
